How do I book your equipment for our event?
You can call us at 419-388-9858 or you can download our rental agreement and fill the paperwork out and mail it back to us with your 50% deposit or full payment. If you would like to receive the 10% cash discount, please include credit card information to book and reserve your item and we hold that until we arrive to deliver your item and you then pay us cash. Please let us know when sending us this information that this is what you wish to do. We do require a valid credit card on file and an id card to be present when dropping off or picking up equipment for all rentals. If you have any questions, please call us at 419-388-9858 and we will be happy to help you. Please call and confirm the availability of the rental equipment on your specific date before mailing the rental agreement.
What are the rental periods and who delivers the equipment?
Our equipment is priced for up to a 4 hour rental. Additional times can be negotiated. The price includes full set-up, take down, delivery and pickup at your party site within our free delivery area. We deliver and pickup between the hours of 7am-12 midnight only. All equipment is picked up no later than midnight. Certain concession equipment may be left overnight. Our rental periods start at 10am and end at 8pm or 1 hour before dark (whichever comes first) for outside equipment, and start at 10am and end at a mutual rental period for inside equipment. We require a minimum rental purchase of $150. You do realize that to save a few bucks, you have to drive (gas & wear and tear on your vehicle) to the other companies location, wait in line, pickup the rental items, set them up, take them down, drive back to the rental company's location, wait in line and return the items. We deliver, setup, takedown, and pickup your rental items; which is included in your rental price within our free delivery area.
How far will you deliver?
Our prices include full delivery, set-up, take down, and pickup at your party site within 15 miles from our location per mapquest, except for tables and chairs. Beyond 15 miles from our location to your location, there is a per mile each way delivery surcharge due to the mileage, time of our employees, and added costs. For example, your party site is 25 miles from our location, the first 15 miles are free, there is a delivery surcharge of 10 miles x .75 x 4= $30. We charge a delivery charge to drop off/return to our office and drive back to pickup/return to our office. Please note: prices change regularly, but we will hold fast to any booked mileage charge. We service Ohio, Michigan and Indiana, so call us if in Fort Wayne, South Bend, Kalamazoo or Ann Arbor! These rates will be in effect when gas is priced the following: $1.50-1.99 per gallon of gas = .75 per mile. $2.00-2.49 per gallon of gas = 1.00 per mile. $2.50-2.99 per gallon of gas = 1.25 per mile. $3.00-3.49 = 1.50 per mile. $3.50-4.00 = 1.75 per mile.
What safety precautions do you take to ensure my children are safe?
We are one of two companies in Ohio and the ONLY company in the Toledo area who has taken coursework, tested and been certified in basic and advanced safe inflatable operation. Because of this, we hold ourselves and our customers to a higher standard-hence our requiring attendants for some equipment/events. We require persons renting our equipment to read and initial our safety instructions to ensure that they are aware of the safety requirements. Following the safety instructions will minimize injuries and damage to the equipment. Please see commercial events below for further information.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash (10% cash discount), US Postal money orders, MasterCard, Visa and Discover. We will accept a check or USPS money order as a deposit or payment in full if received two full weeks before the rental. We require a minimum purchase of $150 for delivery. Pickup rentals have no minimum.
Do I need a down payment to reserve your equipment for our party?
We require a 50% down payment to reserve your rental. All rentals are made on a first come/first served basis. We do not consider a rental to be booked until we receive a deposit. If you call inquiring about an item and do not place a deposit, do not be surprised if the item is already booked the next time you call. We frequently book up to a year in advance. We will refund your deposit if cancellation is received before 14 days of the rental date. Within the 14 day period, we charge a $75 cancellation fee for rentals under $300. For rentals $301-600, we charge a $150 cancellation fee. For rentals of $601 -1000, we charge a cancellation fee of $250. For rentals of $1001 and up, we charge a cancellation fee of $500. With all of these cancellation fees, the balance of your deposit is good towards a future rental. With a cancellation within 24 hours, we charge a 100% of the rental cost cancellation fee. Weather conditions are an exception to these cancellation fees. By our requiring a deposit, you are ensured we will show up. We have responded to inflatable rental emergencies in which companies that do not require a deposit do not show up for their booked party and the children's party is ruined until we arrive. If you book with us, we will show up.
What if there is bad weather?
We make the determination on whether to cancel due to weather concerns. However, if the weather is iffy in our opinion, we might offer you the option to decide on whether to go ahead with your party with the understanding that if it rains or the wind picks up to the point that safe operation is not possible, there are no refunds if you are unable to use the equipment for the any part of the length of your rental. If we cancel due to weather, there will be no charge and your deposit will be refunded, or if you choose, can be held for a future rental.
What is a commercial event?
Commercial events are any events that are not a backyard party at a private residence for 20 or less children. This includes schools, churches, afterprom activities, business events, company picnics, block parties, carnivals, fairs, festivals, etc. These events may require 1-4 attendants per piece of equipment for safety and to ensure that the equipment is operated properly. We reserve the right to require our attendants to be present to supervise your employees or volunteers at an additional charge. We have experienced some organizations volunteers and employees not safely supervise the children present. Attendants needed will result in a charge of $25 per hour each at the number we decide will be adequate to ensure safe operation of our equipment. Safety is a priority of ours and should be a priority of your group too. PLEASE NOTE: By your renting for a commercial event, you are taking full responsibility that you have permission and all licenses and permits completed and present at the time of our delivery. We do not pull permits, nor do we know each specific area's rules, requirements, license fees, etc. We are not responsible and will not refund any fees if we arrive and are told to leave or tear down equipment early due to a violation of rules/laws, etc. If our equipment is seized, removed, stolen, etc, you as the renter are responsibility for full compensation to our company as per our rental agreement.
Do I need to do anything at the party site to get ready for your equipment?
Yes, we need you to ensure we have a clean flat surface (no rocks, sticks, debris, dog droppings, etc) and we need you to mark and identify any utilities (ie: sprinklers, cable, power lines) that you, previous residents and contractors may have installed. We also need you to not mow your lawn or water your lawn for 48 hours prior to your rental date. Mud and grass clippings make the inflatables very dirty. We also need you to ensure we have enough room to setup in an area without overhead power lines of any type or tree branches. We also require you to contact OUPS in Ohio. OUPS will come out and mark any utility lines installed by the utility companies (ie: Edison, Gas, Cable, etc). You must have these lines marked before we will install. We recommend calling two weeks ahead of time to ensure a timely response. OUPS numbers are 811 or 800-362-2764. In Michigan the service is called MISSDIG. They only mark the main utility lines for water, gas and electricity. MISSDIG numbers are 811 or 800-482-7161. Any utilities you or previous homeowners or contractors have installed will not be marked by OUPS or MISSDIG. You, as the homeowner know your property better than we do and you are required to make us aware of any utilities that may be affected.
